Who we are

idaete.com (“idaete”, “we”) is an independent knowledge platform operated by Gaurav Yadav. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions any time: contact us.

What we collect

  • Account data. If you create an idaete or i.Pro account: your name, email address, and the preferences and bookmarks you save to your account.
  • Newsletter data. If you subscribe: your email address and optional first name, processed through Brevo, our email service provider.
  • Purchase data. If you buy an i.Pro membership or a resource: order details are processed by SureCart and its payment processors. Your card details never touch idaete’s servers.
  • Messages. If you use the contact form: your name, email, and message, delivered to us by email.
  • Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept by our hosting provider for security and performance.

Cookies & local storage

idaete stores small amounts of data in your browser to make the site work the way you set it:

  • Preferences — theme (light/dark), reading font size, and, for guests, bookmarks. Stored in localStorage on your device.
  • Session cookies — set by WordPress when you log in, to keep you logged in.
  • Performance — our caching layer (LiteSpeed) may set technical cookies to serve pages faster.
  • Advertising — where display ads are shown, they are served via Google Ad Manager, which may use cookies to measure and (depending on your settings) personalize ads. See Google’s advertising policies.

How we use data

  • To provide the site, your account, and your i.Pro benefits.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for — every issue has one-click unsubscribe.
  • To fulfill purchases and manage access to what you’ve bought.
  • To understand, in aggregate, what content is useful.
  • To keep the site secure and fast.

We don’t sell your personal data. Ever.

Who we share it with

Only the processors needed to run idaete: our hosting provider (Hostinger), email provider (Brevo), commerce provider (SureCart and its payment processors), and — where ads are shown — Google Ad Manager. Each processes data under its own privacy terms and only for the purpose described here.

Your choices & rights

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any issue.
  • Clear your browser’s localStorage to remove device-stored preferences.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your account data by contacting us — we’ll respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or India under the DPDP Act), you may have additional statutory rights; we honor them regardless of where you’re writing from.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting law. Server logs rotate automatically.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and note it on the site. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
